‘Kinetic Kouture: Fashion with a Re-Purpose' is a fashion show combining creative reuse of materials and haute couture into an evening of runway fashion and fun. The "trashion" attire is created with as many upcycled materials as possible, saving waste from the landfill and challenging some of our community's finest artists and tailors to put their creativity and resourcefulness to the test.

Would you like to enter? It's FREE and easy to participate as a designer and/or model. Just email with the subject line "2017 Kinetic Kouture entry" and include the designer's name, model's name, materials reused in the outfit, and up to 100 words about the concept behind the outfit. You will receive a reply with further instructions. If you prefer to just bring your fashionable creation to the event day-of, bring it and your model (if it isn't yourself) to the Museum by 8:00 pm to get oriented, conduct a run-through and fill out your entry form. All contestants can enter more than once but will need to provide one model per creation because there is limited time and space for changing. The contest is FREE to enter. For spectators, the cost is $10 per person at the door and proceeds support Kinetic Universe. All ages are welcome. ID required for alcohol purchase and consumption. Non-alcoholic refreshments will be available.

Come see how one person's trash can be transformed into high-fashion treasure!
